50 bed inpatient unit with ICU

SCOPE OF PRACTICE

  • Evaluate patients in the outpatient urgent care setting and manage acute issues including:
    • Side effects related to oncology treatment.
    • Nausea with vomiting
    • Weakness
    • Diarrhea
    • Dehydration
    • Abdominal and epigastric pain
    • Shortness of breath
    • Pleural effusion
    • Acute bronchitis
    • Dizziness and giddiness
    • Gastrostomy complications
    • Perform Procedures Including:
    • Thoracentesis
    • Paracentesis
    • Intubation
    • Coordinate appropriate admissions to:
    • Hospitalist
    • Intensivist
    • Surgeon

SCHEDULE

Variable - Between 1-5 twelve-hour shifts per month

Salary range: $175.00-$200.00/hour The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate's experience, expertise, job scope, internal equity, geography/market, etc

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Foreign Equivalent
  • Board eligible or board certified in emergency medicine (ABEM ABOEM)
  • Georgia Medical License
